Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Hua Cunying has said that officials from US and China are taking up the nuclear issues in Korean peninsula. Cunying said a delegation led by China’s special envoy for Korean affairs Vu Davey started meetings in US with a delegation that includes Undersecretary responsible of Asia-Pacific affairs Daniel Russel and US special Korea envoy Glyn Davies and the delegations were exchanging views on restarting the talks on clearing Korean peninsula off nuclear weapons. The six-party talks between China, Russia, USA, North Korea, South Korea and Japan had stopped when North Korea left the talks towards the end of 2008.
