The Crescent-Stars have been placed in the same group as France, Italy, and Belgium. Competing in League A of the Nations League for the first time in their history, Turkey will face top-tier European opposition. Montella: “We Are Ready to Face Europe’s Best”
Speaking after the draw, Turkey’s head coach Vincenzo Montella expressed his satisfaction at competing against strong opponents. “First of all, we are happy to be facing some of the best teams in Europe,” Montella said, emphasizing that it is natural for League A to feature high-intensity and highly competitive matches.
The Italian coach described the competition as an important test and development opportunity for Turkey, adding that facing Italy carries special emotional significance for him personally.
