Avrupa Times– ROME — Dundar Kesapli, one of the most successful and respected names in Turkey’s international sports media, has been honored in Italy. Kesapli, who has been working as a journalist in Italy for many years and serves as the Italy correspondent for TRT Spor and A Spor, was awarded the prize in the Intercultural and Sports Communication category at the “Parola d’Oro” (Golden Word) Awards, held for the second time this year in Italy.
One of the most successful and respected figures in Turkey’s international sports media, journalist Dundar Kesapli, has been honored in Italy.
The award was presented in recognition of Kesapli’s efforts to promote dialogue between different cultures, build bridges of understanding between Mediterranean and European peoples, and his continued contributions to using words as tools for peace, inclusiveness, and mutual understanding.
It was stated that Kesapli, who stands out as an important figure in the field of international communication, has developed an approach to communication through his years of journalistic work aimed at making Italy one of the meeting points of the Mediterranean world. It was also noted that through cultural activities, social communication projects, and his work in the field of sports, he has contributed to building strong ties between journalists, institutions, and society. It was emphasized that Kesapli’s understanding of intercultural cooperation serves as an example to the world.
Speaking about the award he received at the ceremony, Kesapli said:
“This award is a great source of pride for me. It is the result of years of patient work, time, effort, and passion. I have always worked with a commitment to professional ethics, rules, and responsibility. I see this award not as a personal success, but as the result of a collective effort.”

Kesapli also emphasized the following:
“We want to continue building lasting bridges between people, between cultures, and among Mediterranean countries. Because we know that without strong communication that overcomes prejudice, fosters empathy, and puts people at the center, neither peace nor cooperation can be sustainable. The future will only be possible to the extent that we can build a world where words unite rather than divide.”
The “Parola d’Oro” (Golden Word) Awards, held for the second time this year in Italy, took place under the patronage of the Lazio Region and the Ministry of Culture.
