Pride of Enfield Fund launched to support community-led improvements across the borough A new £400,000 community grant programme has been launched by Enfield Council to help local people achieve projects that improve our neighbourhoods and inspire community pride. The Pride of Enfield Fund invites local organisations, charities and community groups to apply for funding to create lasting physical improvements to community facilities, public spaces and town centres across the borough.
The fund has been established through government investment from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government’s Pride in Place Impact Fund, with £400,000 set aside specifically to empower community-led projects that will leave a legacy for residents.
Enfield Council’s Leader, Cllr Ergin Erbil said: “Our neighbourhoods, high streets and parks are at the heart of our communities. We are proud to invest in them. The Pride of Enfield Fund is about putting local people at the centre of improving these wonderful spaces.
"This £400,000 investment will help community groups and local organisations bring forward ideas that make a visible difference. You could upgrade community facilities, improve a public space or make a section of a high street near you more welcoming.
“This fund gives residents, community groups and local community champions the opportunity to turn their ideas into lasting improvements that build pride across our beautiful borough.”
Funding is available for capital projects in line with the following priorities:
Improving community spaces
Enhancing parks and green spaces
Improving high streets and town centres
Achieving green, energy efficient measures to community buildings
The application window is open until 9 March and all funded projects must be completed by 31 December 2026.
Further information about eligibility criteria and how to apply is available on the council’s website.
