ISTANBUL (AVRUPA TIMES)-Turkish tennis player Cagla Buyukakcay won the TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Cup International Women's tournament on Sunday. Buyukakcay, 26, defeated her Montenegrin opponent Danka Kovinic, 21, two sets to one (3-6, 6-2, 6-3 ) in the final. The tournament, which was held at Garanti Koza Arena in Istanbul, saw a Turkish finalist and champion for the first time.
