Turkey's flag-carrier air company -- is set to start direct flights to Montreal, Canada, in the first quarter of 2014. The Turkish embassy in Ottawa made a written statement saying that Turkish and Canadian officials had agreed on negotiations which had been proceeding for a while.  The flights will provide more comfortable and faster transportation for those living in and around Montreal, said the statement, adding the flights are also expected to contribute to the development of commercial, cultural, tourism and political relations between the two countries.
