Former president of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Lennart Johansson died at age 89, on Wednesday. Swedish Football Association said in a written statement that Johansson died due to illnesses related with his age. Serving the presidency of the Swedish Football Association between 1985 and 1990, Johansson served as the UEFA President for 17 years starting from 1990.
