An important step in media diplomacy has been taken between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom. A cooperation agreement was signed between Dunyo News Agency, the official news agency affiliated with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the UK-based European News Agency (AVA).

The agreement aims to develop joint media projects, strengthen international news exchange, promote training programs, and expand global media cooperation, particularly across the Turkic world.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the European News Agency (AVA) by its founding editor, Vatan Öz. On behalf of Dunyo News Agency, the agreement was signed by Director Omonulla Fayziyev.
Prior to the signing ceremony, media professionals gathered in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, for the KGK Media and Education Panel. Discussions focused on the future of media, digital transformation, next-generation broadcasting trends, and media cooperation within the Turkic world.
A separate cooperation protocol was also signed on behalf of the Global Journalists Council (KGK) by its President, Mehmet Ali Dim.
This significant initiative is expected to contribute to stronger media diplomacy and cooperation among Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and Europe.
