Yunus Emre Institute London and Turkish British Centre for Creative and Cultural Industries Presented an Exclusive Screening of “Neandria” and Panel Discussion on Sustainable Filmmaking Yunus Emre Institute London, in collaboration with the Turkish British Centre for Creative and Cultural Industries - C4CCI, hosted an exclusive event featuring a private screening of the captivating film “Neandria” by acclaimed director Reha Erdem, followed by an insightful panel discussion on Sustainable Filmmaking and a Case Study: Neandria.
The evening commenced with the screening of “Neandria”. The film explores the story of Suna, a young girl living near the ancient city of Neandria, as she navigates her dreams amidst environmental threats and societal challenges. The film provides a poignant reflection on the pursuit of freedom and self-discovery in the face of adversity.
Following the screening, a panel discussion on Sustainable Filmmaking was moderated by UK Critics’ Circle Member and BBC Broadcaster Phillip Bergson. The panelists included Dr Ekin Gündüz Özdemirci and Nurten Bayraktar from EkoFilm: Sustainable Production Platform, Environmental Humanities Center, Cappadocia University, Türkiye. They shared insights into sustainable filmmaking practices and the creative process behind “Neandria”.
