Magnitude of 6,0 quake hits southern Turkey

An earthquake believed to be measuring 6.0 on the richter scale hit the southern Turkish coastal city of Antalya at 17:23 local time (15:23 GMT). The earthquake took place in the sea just off the Turkish coast, but experts were quick to brush off a tsunami warning. Due to the 65 km depth of the epicenter, the affects are thought to have been minimal. There are no reports of damages or casualties yet, but the quake is believed to have also been felt in Adana, Mersin, Hatay and Cyprus.
