Scores of Palestinians injured in W. Bank clashes

RAMALLAH (AA) – Eighteen Palestinians were injured, including two with live ammunition, while scores of others suffered temporary asphyxiation on Saturday during clashes with the Israeli army in different parts of the occupied West Bank. The clashes took place after the funeral procession of a Palestinian who was killed by Israeli gunfire on Friday, according to eyewitnesses. They said a man was wounded by Israeli live ammunition during clashes near Psagot settlement near Ramallah. The man was taken to the Ramallah Medical Center, an eyewitness said.
He added that 12 other Palestinians were wounded by rubber bullets, noting that the victims received treatment on the spot.
Other eyewitnesses, meanwhile, said scores of other Palestinians suffered temporary asphyxiation during clashes with the Israeli army following the funeral procession of the Palestinian man who was killed on Friday. Another Palestinian was wounded with live ammunition in Hebron (Al-Khalil), while four others were wounded with rubber bullets during clashes with the Israeli army, eyewitnesses said.
Tensions have been running high in the occupied West Bank since Israel started its offensive against the Gaza Strip early last month.
