New life for Syrian tripped by Hungarian camerawoman

Remember the shocking images of the Syrian migrant who was deliberately tripped up by a Hungarian camerawoman while holding his son? The video clip of Osama Abdul Mohsen and his son falling to the ground and looking around in astonishment has been viewed countless times. Well, today the BBC reports the good news that Osama has since been offered a football coaching job in Spain, and he's just arrived there with his sons. BBC Newsday's Bilkisu Labaran spoke to David Morano, spokesman for the head of the football school, Miguel Angel Galan.

Quote of the day

"They buy very cheap boats, charge people an enormous sum and make a lot of money. It is much easier or lucrative for them than running guns or drugs trade but it is all part of the international crime network."– IOM Director General Swing describing how migrant smuggling is more lucrative than the drugs and gun trade.
