Tracey condemns RMT Union militant school

Richard Tracey AM, GLA Conservative Transport spokesman and Deputy Leader, today condemned the decision by the RMT to invest money in an education facility at its Doncaster headquarters, whose only purpose is to cause industrial unrest.

Richard Tracey AM said:

"The militant RMT seem to have no interest in anything other than strikes and industrial agitation. The travelling public in London can look forward to more disruption to their tube services in the coming months and years. It is time the Mayor laid down a proper timetable to bring in driverless trains, and the Government to bring in a comprehensive law to limit strikes. With the RMT declaring they are "tooling up" their reps to fight management and government, maybe it is time for us to look at New York, where subway drivers are banned from striking completely"
