The coronavirus pandemic is being made corrections in the lives of foreigners staying in Kazakhstan.The lack of direct transport links, the closure of borders for transit trips can not be left Kazakhstan by law-abiding foreigners at the stated time. In connection with the extension of the quarantine regime, Interdepartmental Commission on Combating the Spread of Coronavirus of the Republic of Kazakhstan had a decision. This decision has been let to legalize the status of foreigners temporarily staying. So the law violation of the Republic of Kazakhstan will have been prevented.
Entry to Kazakhstan has been let for the following categories foreigners and people without nationality: people whose residence permits, visas and temporary residence permits in the Republic of Kazakhstan expired or will have expired before June 5, 2021. They will not be attracted to liability.
First, this decision concerns foreigners who are in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the purpose of family reunification. If they can't provide documents from the their country of nationality, they can stay in Kazakhstan without requirements for the stated purpose of the visit.
Foreigners who have a work permit issued by the local administrative authority have to extend their terms of stay in Kazakhstan, too.
If a labor immigrant apples to extend the work permit, the permit makes without taking into consideration the requirements of paragraph 2 of article 43-1 of the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On migration of the people».
Also, the execution of the court's decision on the exclusion of foreigners from the country suspend awards if lack of direct transport links with the country of their nationality.
The maximum period of continuous temporary residence of a labor immigrant in the Republic of Kazakhstan may be not exceeded 12 months.
If foreigners residing in Kazakhstan have not regulated their legal status in the period from January 1 to June 5, 2021, they will be attracted to liability. So they need to register with the migration service and get a temporary residence permit.
