The Turkish Community Art Exhibition is a platform for celebrating the diverse and talented artists within our community in the United Kingdom. Since its inception in 2019, the exhibition has showcased hundreds of original and exceptional works from artists of all abilities and mediums. This year, the exhibition received 113 applications and selected 66 unique artworks from 46 artists, representing a wide range of artistic expressions, from traditional arts to digital art, photography to handcraft projects.Collective undertakings such as this exhibition play an important role in making art accessible to a wider audience and platforming artists, while stoking community interaction, dialogue, and unity. The exhibition was curated by a distinguished jury of seven members: Turkey's Consul General in London Mr. Bekir Utku Atahan, Director of Yunus Emre Institute London Mehmet Karakuş, Artist Ali Haydar Yeşilyurt, Artist Cevdet Akman, Artist Nagihan Seymour, Artist Nilay İşlek, Artist Rümeysa Memiş. They evaluated the artworks based on their originality, creativity, technique, and expression.
The exhibition was launched with a private opening ceremony which was attended by the participating artists and important figures.
The opening ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including artists, art-lovers, diplomats, journalists, and academics.
Among the distinguished guests were Türkiye’s Consul General in London Mr. Bekir Utku Atahan, Director of Yunus Emre Institute London Mehmet Karakuş, Deputy Mayor of Camden, Councillor Samata Khatoon, and the jury members of the exhibition. The jury members presented each artist with certificate of participation. The guests enjoyed the artworks on display and the lively atmosphere of the event enjoyed a selection of Turkish cuisine and friendly conversations. Artists and their families alike came together to make this exhibition a stunning success, and now it's ready for you to visit in person! With the support and contributions of the Turkish artists living in the United Kingdom, artists and art-lovers have the unique chance to meet again for this exciting exhibition and enjoy the art stemming from the Turkish community. From the first day of its opening the exhibition attracted many visitors and received positive feedback from the public.

The exhibition is now available to view during weekdays from 5th of March until 25th of March from 10 am to 6 pm at the Yunus Emre Institute London’s Art Gallery located at 10 Maple Street, Fitzrovia. The exhibition is a testament to the vibrant and creative Turkish artistic community and their significant role in strengthening the cultural ties between Türkiye and the United Kingdom.
