Turkey's leading low cost airline Pegasus has now added Makhachkala

(LONDON – 18 November 2015) Turkey’s leading low cost airline, Pegasus, has now added Makhachkala, the largest city in the Northern Caucasus, to its flight network. With the addition of Makhachkala, the capital of the Republic of Dagestan, a Republic of the Russian Federation, Pegasus has increased its number of destinations in Russia to five and the total number in its network to 103. Operating four times weekly scheduled flights between London Stansted and Gatwick and Makhachkala via Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen, the routes are now open for booking with one-way fares starting from £81.84 and £83.66 respectively including taxes and charges.

London flights connecting to Makhachkala via Istanbul depart from London Stansted at 13:20 and from London Gatwick at 11:45 on a four times weekly schedule on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with the flights connecting on from Istanbul at 21:20. The flights return from Makhachkala Airport at 06:00on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.


Located on the shores of the Caspian Sea, Makhachkala stands out as an off-the-beaten-track destination to discover and is famed for its natural beauty, mountains thermal pools and mild climate. Pegasus also connects Makhachkala Airport to a total of 64 other international destinations via Istanbul:Amsterdam, Athens, Baghdad, Barcelona, Basel, Belgrade, Berlin, Bologna, Bucharest, Budapest, Brussels, Cologne, Copenhagen, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Geneva, Hamburg, North Cyprus – Ercan, London – Gatwick, London – Stansted, Lyon, Madrid, Marseille, Milan – Malpensa, Milan – Bergamo, Moscow, Munich, Nice, Oslo, Paris, Prague, Pristina, Rome, Sarajevo, Skopje, St Etienne, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Tel Aviv, Tirana, Vienna and Zurich – and including 23 in Turkey  Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman, Denizli, Diyarbakir, Elazig, Erzincan, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Hatay, Izmir, Kastamonu, Kayseri, Konya, Mardin, Ordu, Samsun, Sivas, Sanliurfa, Trabzon and Van.
