Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Chelsea to play for Soma

Turkish clubs Fenerbahce and Besiktas and English Premier League's Chelsea will play in a charity tournament, in Istanbul on Friday, for the relatives of those deceased in the May 13 Soma mining incident. The event will take place at Fenerbahce's Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.  Chelsea arrived in Istanbul by private jet on Thursday night and was welcomed by a Fenerbahce executive Orkun Yazgan. After landing, former Galatasaray player Didier Drogba expressed his joy for being in Istanbul once again. "This tournament is a very important event to show our supports for the people in Soma," Chelsea's 36-year-old veteran striker said. On May 13, a blast in a mine in town of Soma in western province of Manisa claimed the lives of 301 miners. According to the regulations for Friday's tournament, each team will play two matches, with three points awarded for a win, one point for a draw. There will not be any extra time or penalty shootouts. Each game will only last a half. Ticket prices for the tournament are 50, 100 and 160 Turkish Liras (around $25, $50 and $80). Fixture of the tournament is as follows:

Fenerbahce vs Besiktas at 1730GMT

Fenerbahce vs Chelsea at 1830GMT

Chelsea vs Besiktas at 1930GMT

On Wednesday, 2014 Spanish champions Atletico Madrid also played a friendly charity game against Galatasaray in Izmir. The score was 0-0.
