Israeli threats aim to block Erdogan's Gaza visit

Spokesman for Hamas parliamentary group Salah el-Berdevil has assessed the claims about Israel's attack towards Gaza, its threats and rockets fired on Eilat city, as an attempt to block Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's Gaza visit. Speaking to Turkish press, Berdevil underlined that the US and Israel did not want Erdogan to pay a visit to Gaza and stressed, "In order to block Erdogan's planned Gaza visit, Israel threatens Gaza with a new attack. In order to break the political stability in the region, Israel claims that rockets which hit Eilat city were shot from Gaza."

Berdevil also assessed the Middle East tour of US Secretary of State John Kerry and added, "Kerry's visits point out that the US marked the region on its agenda. One of the most important agenda topics in the region is resumption of Israel-Palestine negotiations."
