The Council has appointed contractors to look at ways of solving the problem of excessive water at the park in Broomfield Lane, Southgate, and prevent any further rainfall from flooding the park.
Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment, Cllr Chris Bond said: “We can’t have a situation where a popular exercise area is flooded so we’re taking steps to sort this problem out once and for all.
“I’d like to apologise for any disruption the flooding has caused, but we are looking for a long term solution that means the play area will be dry and usable regardless of the weather conditions in the future.
“When we have considered all the options and chosen the best way to tackle this problem, we’ll get to work and carry out the required works.”
