Run by the Charity, Enfield School of Life Saving, the awards recognise people who complete life saving courses as part of their GCSE PE and also people who have completed the base level required to be a lifeguard.
David Burrowes said, “These awards recognise young people aged 12-17, who have taken part in lifesaving training. We are fortunate that in Enfield, we have charities like the Enfield School of Life Saving who provide invaluable support and training to young people.
“It was an inspiration to see so many young people helping to teach lifesaving skills to their peers. These volunteers are a fine example of the voluntary sector helping towards qualifications for employment.”
