Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld says the mufti of Jerusalem, Mohammed Hussein, was released on Wednesday afternoon. Police detained Hussein earlier in the day following disturbances on Tuesday at a disputed hilltop compound in Jerusalem's Old City. Jews revere the site as the Temple Mount, while Muslims call it the "Harem al-Sharif," or "Noble Sanctuary." The site is home to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
