The Greek government said state broadcaster ERT will shut down early on Wednesday as the country struggles against a crippling economic crisis. Government spokesman of Greece Simos Kedikoglou stated that all channel and radios would be closed and a new private corporation would replace it. He added each employee would receive compensation and the new corporation would employ a smaller number of workers.
