Eurozone approves Greek financial aid package

Eurozone officials on Monday approved the release of 2.8 billion euros in loans to Greece after the adoption of the law that provides for the dismissal of 15,000 civil servants as part of austerity measures by the Greece parliament. The Greece Finance Ministry said the approval of an additional 6 billion euro installment would be discussed at a meeting of the currency union's finance ministers on May 13.
