Turkey's first domestic made antitank long-range missile UMTAS, manufactured by ROKETSAN, can hit targets five kilometers away with full precision. Sources at ROKETSAN told the Anadolu Agency (AA) that the Long Range Antitank Missile (UMTAS) Project had been initiated to meet the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) by national means. With its sophisticated high performance warhead, UMTAS will be highly effective against the armors of tanks and concrete bunkers. UMTAS will also be used as antitank missiles in ATAK helicopters of Turkey.
