Day-2 of English top flight football

The Day-2 matches of English Premier League will kick-off on Saturday, with Newcastle United facing Aston Villa in the weekend’s opening game. The 12.45 GMT fixture at Villa Park is followed by five other games, including the clash between Everton and Arsenal at 17.30 GMT. On Sunday, champions Manchester City face Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium at 20.00 GMT. In the opening week Manchester City began season with a win, as did Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.
