Elections for a new council and members of the European Parliament are both held on the same day with polling stations open from 7am until 10pm.

Enfield’s chief executive and returning officer, Rob Leak, said, “It is important that people register to vote. If they are unsure whether they are on the register they can always check by contacting the council’s election services.

“This year their registration entitles them to vote in both the local and European elections. We don’t want to turn anyone away because they are not on the register.”

Elections manager, Peter Stanyon, added, “On Election Day, polling stations will be staffed with experienced officers who will be on hand to help anyone who needs an explanation.

“Voters will have the opportunity to vote for up to three ward councillors in the local election and, along with voters across the capital, elect eight Members to represent London, including Enfield, in the European Parliament for the next five years.”
