Obama will address Israelis

Details of US President Barack Obama's upcoming tour of Israel and Palestine have become clear. According to information shared by the White House and Israeli sources, Presidential jet, the Air Force One which carries Obama will land at Tel Aviv on Wednesday, March 20. At his arrival at the airport, Obama will be welcomed by a formal ceremony where Israel's President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will attend. Moreover, he will have a look at the Iron Dome missile system funded by the US. Later on, Obama will head to Jerusalem where he will come together with President Peres. Both Obama and Peres are expected to make a statement to the press following their tete-a-tete meeting which will be held at the presidential residence. Afterwards, Obama is set to meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu and hold a joint press conference too.
 
On the second day of his tour, Obama will visit the Israel Museum in Jerusalem and then travel to Ramallah to come together with Palestine's President Mahmoud Abbas.
 
Obama who will be holding a joint press conference with Abbas is expected to visit a youth centre with Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.
 
In the afternoon on Thursday, Obama will head to Jerusalem and address Israelis.
 
Unlike his predecessors George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, Obama will address the crowd to be mainly formed by undergraduates.
 
On the same evening, Obama will attend a dinner hosted by Peres in his honor.
 
On Friday, Obama will lay a wreath at the tomb of Israel's slain Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, visit Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum and Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.
 
According to Israeli sources, on the last day of Obama's visit, he may come together with leader of Labor Party Shelly Yachimovich as well.
 
Once wrapping-up his talks, Obama is expected to head to Jordan.
