Make sure your voice is heard – register to vote now!

Residents need to apply to be on the electoral roll by 6 May to vote and ensure their voice is heard.

Islington has more than 155,000 people eligible to vote - 10,000 more than last time council elections took place in 2010, including many first time voters.

Decisions made by the council affect everyone in the borough, regardless of age, what you do, where you live in the borough or your income.

Being on the electoral register isn’t simply about being able to vote – it can help your credit rating too and make it easier to rent or buy a property or get things like a phone contract as credit reference agencies use the register to confirm an applicant’s address.

Lesley Seary, chief executive of Islington Council, said: “It’s very easy to register to vote – if you haven’t registered already, get in touch today so you can have your say.”
