A CALL FOR AWARENESS FROM LÖSEV #lösemili1çocuğunhayali This year, LÖSEV organizes the November 2-8, National Week for Children with Leukemia in order to support children struggling with leukemia and to raise awareness about leukemia. It draws attention with the message “I Throw off my masks and run to my dreams!” All Started With a Child's Dream. Exactly 24 years ago children with leukemia who could not go anywhere except their hospital room wanted a television from their papa smurf Dr. Üstün EZER. However, when the hospital management turned down this request, Dr. Üstün EZER and his friends founded LÖSEV and helped children achieve their dreams. Founded on 8th of November 1998, LÖSEV dedicated its foundation day to children with leukemia and their families on November 2-8, as the National Week for Children with Leukemia.

Aiming to raise awareness with the message “I Throw off my mask and run to my dreams!” this year, LÖSEV Health and Education Foundation for Children with Leukemia will continue to draw attention to leukemia, which is the most common one among childhood cancers, with different activities throughout the week.  ORANGE, which is the color of the week and leukemia, will instill hope in children who are under treatment and also emphasize the duties of individuals and society to fight against leukemia.

Many buildings, passages, bridges, skyscrapers, monuments, hundreds of points illuminated at night in big cities of Turkey will support the week with orange lighting during the 2-8 November National Week for Children with Leukemia, which was realized with the support of all institutions and organizations, schools and universities. Awareness seminars will be held by LÖSEV throughout the week and the school bells will ring as the LÖSEV Anthem. Children’s treatment will be supported by the sale of handicraft products at the LSV Shop stands to be opened throughout the country, especially in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir.

LÖSEV calls to support the week with an orange mask
In addition to the public and institutions, it has already started to announced that mannequin and employees in many socially responsible brands will support us throughout the week by wearing orange masks.
