Drinking water crisis in US state of Ohio

Officials in Toledo, Ohio's fourth-largest city, warned residents not to drink their tap water and declared a state of emergency after they discovered toxins possibly from algae on Lake Erie. Toledo Mayor Michael Collins, speaking at a press conference, said preliminary testing revealed that toxin levels were improving at the city's plant adding that he did not know when the crisis would end.  People from Toledo's suburbs and southeastern Michigan have been forming long lines at water distribution centers to have drinking water.
