African Human Rights Organization claimed that Mali's military, which is supported by France, made ethnic cleansing on armed groups in the north of the country. The statement by the organization said, Malian troops and politicians, who made ethnic cleansing in Niono and Mopti, had to be identified and investigated. The organization said the case should be investigated independently before it was presented in the International Court of Justice. The French military operation in Mali began on January 11. There are around 4,000 French troops serving in Mali.
