On this special night of Ramadan, Muslim Aid urges its supporters to give generously

On this special night of Ramadan, Muslim Aid urges its supporters and the wider Muslim community to give generously so it can serve people suffering from the effects of hunger, disease, disasters and conflicts.              Those most deserving of humanitarian aid are orphans and destitute children, widows, the elderly, internally displaced people and the thousands of refugees who have left their homes and countries in search of food and security.    By supporting Muslim Aid’s campaign, donors can help those affected by conflict and disasters around the world. This year, there is a particular focus on building upon the work Muslim Aid has done in Syria and Myanmar, as well as providing on-to-one support to impoverished children and orphans through Muslim Aid’s Rainbow Family Child Support Programme. There is still time to reap the reward of good deeds in Laylatul Qadr, as well as being the change for thousands of people in need around the world.

In addition, Muslim Aid delivers 100% of donors’ zakat to beneficiaries without deducting any admin cost. Donors can also gain ongoing rewards by choosing one of the many Sadaqah Jariyah (recurring charity) projects of Muslim Aid.  One such project is ‘Dig a Well’, where a well can be built in a choice of countries in the name of a loved one. As well as leaving a legacy, ‘Dig a Well’ provides an invaluable water source for a community.

To provide ongoing support to those in need around the world, donors can make a one-off donation of their Zakat dues, sign up a direct debit for £3 a month, sponsor a child for £25 per month or leave a legacy for any of the charitable projects in a country of their choice.

This Ramadan, Muslim Aid’s donation hotline is open 24 hours at (0)207 377 4200. Donations can also be made via www.muslimaid.org.  Muslim Aid representatives are available to answer queries or give media interviews in Arabic, Bengali, English, Urdu, Punjabi and Gujarati. Please contact the Public Affairs Department on (0)207 377 4200 or email [email protected].

May Allah help you find this blissful Night of Power and reward you for your fasting, prayers and recitation of the Quran.
