Azerbaijan Through The Lens

AVRUPA / London - TEAS wishes to remind you that the deadline for the 'Azerbaijan Through the Lens' photography competition is 15 October – just four weeks away. The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) is proud to announce the launch of a photography competition for professional and amateur photographers from across the world. The theme will be the beautiful and historic country of Azerbaijan.

All types of photographs are welcome to be submitted, from portraits and landscapes to action and architectural – the only criterion is that the photos are related to Azerbaijan.

In addition to a selection of fantastic prizes (full details to be announced soon), the winners will be exhibited at the prestigious La Galleria Pall Mall, London in November 2012, to which the international media and public will be invited. The exhibition will then be presented at galleries in Paris, Berlin, Brussels and other European cities during late 2012–early 2013.

Prizes:

• 1st prize – £2,000 worth of travel vouchers or a 15" Macbook Pro

• 2nd prize – £1,000 worth of travel vouchers or a 13" Macbook Air

• 3rd prize – £500 worth of travel vouchers or an iPad

The winning photos will be selected by a panel of internationally-recognised experts.

Submissions:

Participants are required to submit up to five (5) JPGs of 2–3MB, each with a caption and a brief description, together with a short (max. 350 words) Artist's Statement on the techniques behind the photographs or the sources of their inspiration. Submissions must also include: entrants name, address and telephone number.

The closing date for entries is 15 October 2012, 17.00 GMT.

All entries should be available at higher resolution for printing purposes.

There is no age limitation. There is no admission fee for participation in the contest.
