2) Handmade Otto cement tiles with traditional, art deco, geometric and modern patterns - hand-painted.

CEMENT TILES

Created from stone granules, Portland cement, fine sand and natural pigments; a hand-made mould is used to separate the colours, which permeate the upper layer. Although this traditional artisanal process is worked by skilled hands, it is efficient and flexible and responsive to the particular requirements of our clients. Even for quite modest orders, we can work to cost-conscious clients' designs and colours. We take particular pleasure in collaborating on projects. 

Grinding: comparable cement tiles on sale in the UK have not been ground. This is not a problem for the showroom but once in place those floor/wall tiles will absorb dust and stains. Wall tiles should be ground, as they are otherwise pointlessly thick. Otto offers 8 levels of grinding to suit your particular requirements. We make tiles to look great from the outset, which will never wear away because the depth and durability of our colour layer will withstand decades of feet. Cement tiles laid down in heavy-use settings a hundred years ago - in schools, hotels, pubs - may show a slight depression here and there, but the colours retain a mellowed vibrancy. To clean Otto tiles - if you've applied Otto sealing - simply use soapy water.
