Speaking at a conference organized by Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) in Istanbul, Davutoglu said Turkish businessmen should go to those regions and support their economic development. He added "take risk if needed but don't leave them to their fate". Davutoglu said 2013 would be the elections year in the Middle East and North Africa, adding that change in those regions do not happen easily. He said it was not easy for Turkey, it would not be easy for the Middle East.Davutoglu stated that Turkey would keep supporting the people of those regions during those processes. Abnegating the claims that Turkey and Egypt were rivals, Davutoglu said they would like to stand shoulder to shoulder with Egypt, Syria, and Libya, instead of being rivals. On Syria, he said Syrians showed how self-respecting and strong they were, adding that Turkey proved how it was bonded to Syrians faithfully. He said there were around 300,000 Syrians in Turkey.
Turkey's FM's call to invest in Middle East and North Africa
