The final of the 2012 ‘European Property Awards’ was realized on the 24th September Monday evening at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square. The Environmental Engineering Department Building of the Institute of Technology Muallimköy Campus, Turkey won the ‘Best of Europe’ title in the public buildings category with the votes of a panel of 60 jurors.
The final of the 2012 ‘International Property Awards’ will take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel London on theevening of 7th of December 2012.
The Environmental Engineering Building that will represent Europe during the International final will compete with the laureates of the 4 other continents for the title of ‘World’s Best’.
Following a 12-year ‘deserted situation’ the Institute of Technology Muallimköy Campus neighboring the TUBITAK MAM Turkish Scientific Research Organisation Marmara Center and the prospective Izmit Gulf Bridge is planned to be converted to Turkey’s Silicone Valley Project. The campus presently enjoys 3.800.000 m2 of allocated land and 2 completed buildings of 10.000 m2 enclosed space each and 3 semi-completed buildings out of projected 400.000 m2 total enclosed space.
