Turkish Airlines plane makes emergency landing due to fault

ISTANBUL (AA) - ​​A Turkish Airlines charter plane en route from Istanbul to Italy's Milan had to make an emergency landing in Istanbul's Ataturk Airport on Tuesday after taking off from Sabiha Gokcen Airport on the Asian side of the city. The Turkish Airlines (THY) plane lifted off from Sabiha Gokcen with 96 passengers onboard at noon but had to land on Ataturk International Airport due to a technical fault, airport officials said. Officials added that the flight passengers from Istanbul will be transferred to another THY plane and will leave for Milan soon.
