A speed boat carrying 30 illegal migrants sank 10 miles offshore from the Tavakli village in Turkey's northwestern Canakkale province due to unknown reasons. Coast guards arrived at the scene and rescued 12 people and found the bodies of 18 others. Search and rescue efforts are still under way with the help of boats, planes and helicopters.
