A NEW AGE IN HEALTH

Ali YALIMAN-AVA-Girne-The fundamentals of a new age in Northern Cyprus health sector is being built via the protocol agreed amongst the Florence Nightingale Hospitals - an authority in world medicine and a trademark in health services - and GAU.

Florence Nightingale Hospitals- the trademark of Turkey- which operates in sense of reliability, patient oriented and provides quality service, prioritizing the reliability of patients and staff and it is a reformist and ever-developing institution. GAU Chancellor’s Office have stressed that in line with the service provided to TRNC due to the protocol signed there will be developments in quality of implementations and a leading for the domestic medicine education and health system and furthermore it would provide TRNC community a better quality and international standard health services.

GAU  held an open to public press conference Friday in GAU Cyprus-Girne Campus Chancellor’s Office with the participation of Founding Rector and Chancellor of Board of Administrators Serhat Akpınar, GAU CEO and Vice-Chancellor of Board of Administrators Dr. Asım Vehbi, Vice-Chancellor of Board of Administrators Olgun Üstün and Cemile Esenyel, Rector Prof. Dr.Yıldırım Öner, Dean of Health Sciences Faculty Prof. Dr. İlgi Şemin, Project Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tülin Bodamyalı, Member of Board of Administrators of Florence Nightingale Hospitals Yavuz Tunç and Rector of Bilim University Prof. Dr. Çavlan Çiftçi for delivering messages in regards to new projects in line with the signed protocol between GAU, Florance Nightingale Hospitals Group and İstanbul Bilim University.

Giant Cooperation in TRNC Health System and Education

Initial approaches held upon the cooperation amongst GAU, Bilim University and Florence Nightingale Hospitals on the bases of European Union Health Structures General Criteria and Joint Commission International health institutions accreditations criteria to run the first of Green Hospital Complex in TRNC. This cooperated project will commence a new era in Health Systems and Services.

The Chancellor’s Office of GAU announced that Turkish Cypriot community will benefit the quality and international standard health services with the project to be cooperated under GAU Florence Nightingale “Smart Health” Health Complex and Medicine Center which will orientate the highest level in the level of international medicine.

Press had also participated to the meeting which also the Founding Rector and Chancellor of Board of Administrators Serhat Akpınar, GAU CEO and Vice-Chancellor of Board of Administrators Dr. Asım Vehbi, Vice-Chancellor of Board of Administrators Olgun Üstün and Cemile Esenyel, GAU Rector Prof. Dr. Yıldırım Öner, Member of Board of Administrators of Florence Nightingale Hospitals Yavuz Tunç and Rector of Bilim University Prof. Dr. Çavlan Çiftçi, Head of Constructional Works and Technical Office Erdoğan Akpak, Project Architect Fevzi Özersay and Senior GAU Authorities have attended.

A trademark in global medicine the Florence Nightingale Hospital will consist of policlinics of Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Orthopedic, Gynecological diseases, Dermatology, Neurology, Otorhinolaryngology, Pediatric and Urology also full-equipped operating theaters, Emergency Service, Gynecology, Dialysis Center, In Vitro Fertilization Center, Physical Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, Geriatrics and Elderly Care Center, Addiction Recovery and Rehabilitation Center, Diagnosis Center; Radiology, Mammography, Tomography, MR, Bone Density, Ultrasound, Bio-chemical laboratory, Micro-biology, Halter (rhythm/tension), Effort/Echo, X Ray, Endoscopy, Colonoscopy services, Healthy Living and Beauty Center; Healthy Diet, Combat Obesity, Orthopedic, Neurologic, Hand, Cardiac therapies and will be built on an area of 56.000 m2  on a green field.

Serhat AKPINAR: “We aim to meet the necessities in the field of health in line with Communal Beneficiary Based interactions.”

 Akpınar stated that they as the GAU Global Science Family do feel honored to establish such a significant project on behalf of the country and the health system. Akpınar also underlined that GAU Florence Nightingale ‘Smart Health’ Health Complex and Medicine Center is focused on to contribute to the necessities of health in line with communal benefit and communal services.

The construction of the complex is planned to complete by 2015. Akpınar also stated that the project which will be undertaken by GAU is regarded as significant due to its future contribution for the rational, scientific, humanist and communal needs of the country.

Akpınar thanked all press and public opinion leaders for their participations and also thanked for those contributed to the process of the project.

Yavuz TUNÇ: “We are honored to cooperate with GAU”

Member of Florence Nightingale Hospitals Administration Board Yavuz TUNÇ has stated that the institution will hold 6 hospitals under its management. Tunç also underlined the honor for establishing such hospital in TRNC together with GAU.

Tunç emphasizing the excitement they live for the project which to be realized he also added Girne and all Cyprus will be appreciating the health services provided in line with the completion of the project.
