Local school gets praised by Government

AVRUPA TIMES/LONDON-On Monday, local MP David Burrowes urged the Education Secretary to increase educational opportunities for pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. The Education Secretary, Justine Greening, said that the £2.5 billon pupil premium narrows the gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers and made an example of Eversley Primary School for its ‘excellent work on the pupil premium and on winning the high aspiration award’.

David Burrowes said, ‘I am pleased that the Government recognise that local schools like Eversley work hard to ensure that each child has the opportunity to access good education which is vital to further life chances’.
