A Turkish Airlines (THY) passenger aircraft en route from Istanbul to Brazil's Sao Paulo had to make an emergency landing in Morocco on Sunday due to an unclaimed tablet computer whose owner remained unknown.
According to information obtained by an AA correspondent, a tablet whose owner did not come forth was found on a seat on flight number TK-15 which took off from Ataturk Airport in the morning with 229 passengers.
The cabin crew reported the situation to the captain. After permission was granted in accordance with civil aviation procedures, the aircraft made a seamless emergency landing at Morocco's Casablanca Airport at 14.00 local time.
A detailed investigation was conducted on the aircraft around which safety precautions were taken.
