Stephen Gilbert MP is inviting constituents to nominate their favourite local kebab house to be put forward as a contestant in the first British Kebab Awards, which will be presented at the House of Commons in January. Commenting, Stephen said:
"The kebab industry in Britain employs over 150,000 people and contributes £1.5billion to the national economy every year. The inaugural British Kebab Awards provide an opportunity to celebrate the best of this important industry.
"Here in mid-Cornwall alone there are a number of kebab houses, often operating as an independent local business, all providing their own unique and delicious version of the traditional kebab.
"I would be overjoyed to see one of these local enterprises accepting an award in Parliament next year and am asking my constituents to tell me which kebab house you feel is deserving of this recognition."
If you would like to put your favourite kebab house forward for nomination, please email [email protected] with the subject line 'British Kebab Awards' by noon on Thursday 15th November. In the email, please provide details of the name of the business, full address of the business and contact numbers for the business.
