German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle will visit the Middle East for peace talks on August 11-12. According to a statement issued by the German Foreign Ministry, Westerwelle will visit Israel and Palestine for peace talks and will meet Israeli President Shimon Perez and Justice Minister Zipi Livni on August 11 and Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu on August 12. The statement noted that Westerwelle will also meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah on August 12.
