The debut feature film by documentary maker Seyfettin Tokmak dramatically captures the optimism and dreams of childhood alongside the dramatic reality of lives lived on the edge of despair. It follows the intertwining stories of teenage cousins Hakim and Faysal who dream of a new life in Germany and Medina and her ailing daughter Elma who are Bosnian refugees in Istanbul. Attempts to break into the lucrative mussel selling market go comically wrong but then Medina disappears and a desperate search begins...
