Rescuers and officials last night spoke of the "picture of horror" on the French mountainside where a German airliner crashed in mysterious circumstances, killing all 150 people on board. Carsten Spohr, the CEO of Germanwings parent company Lufthansa, has said visiting the crash site was "harrowing" but vowed to get victims' relatives there as soon as he could. "We are in deep mourning," he added.
