Bozdag Taekwondo Club made a huge impact at the British Masters 2017 in London

SPORTS

The Bozdag Taekwondo Club from Shoreditch made once again a huge impact at the British Masters 2017.

An astounding set of 3 gold medals, 1 silver and 5 bronzes for the team of 10 members, who are part of the Elite Team the club is so proud of it. The fighters, who are no older than 16 and no younger than 8, constitute an excellent example of youngsters who work hard for their goals, at the same time as practising self-control and endurance – maxims of the Korean martial art, which is now an Olympic sport on its own right. Between the gold winners we find up-and-coming taekwondoers Ajadi Junior Abisogun, Arda Kanteper and David Beroev, silver were won by Egor Troitskiy, and the bronze medals went to Angelo Gamon Dorchester, Harper Lee Katz, Mehmet Argalioglu, Serhat Alex Bilgehan and Umutcan Bozdere, all young neighbours of the Hackney and Dalston areas, names to keep an eye on in the future of this sport. The Club, sited on Kingsland Road between Hoxton and Shoreditch, has been running for seventeen years now and prides itself of an excellent training to the young and younger, and a fun, competitive spirit that keeps on shining through at any given opportunity via their wonderful Elite Team; an army of young fighters who cherish respect and team work, reminding us there's plenty of hope in the future, and nurtures the willpower of others yet to come.
