The Chinese probe will start its journey from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China at 01:30 local time.
Yutu is expected to be landing on the moon surface in mid-December for a reconnaissance mission to map the whole of the celestial body.
The 140 kg Yutu is the first ever Chinese probe to land on the world's satellite.
