Cim Bom on course for 19th title, Wesley Sneider's well taken second half goal earned Galatasaray all three points in their match away to Karabukspor.
With just 5 matches remaining Cim Bom take a 7 point lead into the closing stages of the Super Lig season and despite a tough run, which will see them play both Fenerbahce and Trabzon they will be confident they will be able to see of the challenge of their Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce.
Sneider's winning goal will go some way to easing the disappointment of Galatasaray's amazing effort which almost saw them overturn a 3-0 deficit against Real Madrid. One aspect which will be of some concern to Cim Bom fans will be the touchline ban given to Fatih Terim and his coaching assistants. Galatasaray have never previously fared well when their boss has been banned from their touchlines so this spell will be interesting for that reason alone.
The race for third place is the other battle catching the eye of Turkish football enthusiasts and Bursa and Besiktas are running neck and neck on 46 points each. With the promise of Champions League football the rich prize it will be interesting to see who clinches this pot of gold.
