LONDON (3 May 2013) --- The Turkish Culture & Tourism Office UK will participate in the Regent Street Festival, held on Sunday May 12, to showcase the country's rich food and music culture to visitors from around the world.
The day-long cultural event will be a colourful festival of food, arts, music and dance, drawing international crowds and representing the diverse cultures in London. The festival will see Regent Street closed to traffic for the day as the visitors immerse themselves in various cultural activities.
TCTO UK is working in partnership with Ozer Restaurant, who will be offering visitors samples of traditional Turkish dishes, wines and beer, while Kahve Dunyasi will serve its authentic Turkish coffee. Guests will also have the opportunity to buy the sampled products. Further in-store promotions will be held in collaboration with Ted Baker's Regent Street store, with Ted's Grooming Room on hand to provide complimentary Turkish shaves.
The activities include a live 'fasil' performance by a 5-piece Turkish folk band, playing traditional melodies with violin, clarinet, oud, goblet drum and qanun. The act will be followed by a Turkish music DJ set.
