Love Island Aftersun has been slapped with 427 complaints to television watchdog Ofcom after she appeared to shame Ekin-Su on the spin-off programme AfterSun

Love Island star Laura Whitmore has been hit with more than 400 complaints to Ofcom for s***-shaming Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and the treatment of Jacques O'Neil on Aftersun. After tuning in for the weekend spin-off programme, viewers were left with a bad taste - with 427 people turning to the Watchdog to file their grievances.Fans were left raging after Turkish beauty Ekin-Su seemed to dominate the conversation on Sunday 17 July. The panel which included host Laura, had been busy discussing the aftermath of Movie Night which had aired on Friday 15 July. Ekin-Su who is coupled with Davide Sancliment was shown having interactions with George in scandalous clip - soon before she jumped out of bed declaring: "We're just friends."Love Island hit with over 3,000 Ofcom complaints in a week over explosive 'bullying' rowdailystar.Love Island Gemma Owen's mum slams 'bullying' of Tasha as Luca and Dami apologisedailystarThe actress was further exposed in a second segment which saw Ekin-Su ask George not to sat anything to anyone else in Case Amor.Speaking to guests such as singer Tom Grennan, Laura opened the show taking aim at Ekin-Su.She said: "Once again Ekin-Su swore that nothing happened with George and it seems Davide doesn’t believe her.""It defo happened though didn’t it?" asked Tom.The AfterSun presenter, seemed to be encouraging the discussion and that is what fans found most outrageous.Floods of online users flocked to their keyboards to complain, with one person writing: "The fact that slut shaming is being passed off as banter and good television is very concerning at this rate #LoveIsland."Another said: "Laura is so misogynistic & adding more fuel to the Ekin-Su and George thing when I feel he was bitter he got rejected. It’s unfair when Ekin isn’t there to defend herself. Be kind though?"

A third agreed: "The Love island situation makes me want to scream Laura whatever was very quick to shut down Rachel’s comments about her experience playing the feminist card but was encouraging misogyny towards Ekin-Su,"

Meanwhile, others complained over the treatment of Jacques O'Neil who had opted to leave the villa after he'd "struggled" to control his emotions when it came to Paige Thorne.Jacques appeared on AfterSun after Paige had moved on with Adam Collard, with the pair sharing their first kiss together.Fans complained it was unfair of Laura and co to openly discuss the kiss in front of Jacques - who had been struggling.A spokesperson for Laura told: "Laura's job as the presenter of Aftersun is to ask questions relating to what is happening in the main show. This is all that Laura has done on this occasion and suggesting otherwise is simply unfair and false."When approached for comment, a spokesperson for Love Island told us: "Laura is the presenter of the show, and part of that role is to pose questions to the panel and discuss events in the Villa. We do not condone trolling against either our host or our Islanders and any subsequent elevation of these comments."We had various measures in place to ensure Jacques' welfare was prioritised at all times ahead of and during his appearance on Aftersun.
